Previous year papers

Honest answer first: State CET Cell does not publish MCA CET question papers on its website. What exists is your own paper in the candidate login, and papers that other sites have collected. Here is what each source actually contains, what kinds of questions past papers show, and how to use one with this site.

Where to find them

Your own official paper (candidate login)
After the exam, State CET Cell shows each candidate their question paper, response sheet and provisional answer key in the login, during the objection window. This is the only official source. It may not stay available after the result, so download it while you can. If a senior appeared last year, ask them for theirs.

We opened this PDF. It is titled “Memory-Based”: about 20 questions recalled by candidates after the exam, with answers. Some questions are incomplete or garbled, so use it to see question styles, not as a full timed paper.

How to practise with a past paper

  1. Set exam conditions. Print it or open it full-screen, put your phone away, and set a timer: 90 minutes for 100 questions, or about 54 seconds per question if the paper is shorter.
  2. Answer in one sitting. No checking answers midway. Leave nothing blank: there is no negative marking.
  3. Mark, then sort your mistakes. For every wrong or skipped question, write down which topic it belongs to.
  4. Fix the topic, not the question. Open that topic here, read the analogy again, and redo its practice set until all four are right.
  5. Repeat with a fresh paper. Alternate past papers with the mock test here, which draws a new paper every time.
